The General Manager position at REVELxp is a full-time role that plays a critical part in overseeing the day-to-day operations of all tailgating and event rental activities. The role requires a high-energy individual who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and is passionate about delivering unparalleled fan experiences. The General Manager will be responsible for managing and mentoring event staff, setting and meeting performance objectives, and ensuring that company standards are maintained across all touchpoints. This role involves significant leadership duties, including the development and execution of sales strategies to meet revenue targets, managing relationships with university partners, and overseeing all operational aspects of event planning and execution.

Key responsibilities include full oversight over revenue activities such as forecasting, goal setting, and sales execution. The role demands active engagement in sales, including outbound and inbound calls, in-person meetings, and community involvement initiatives. Maintaining excellent communication with clients and stakeholders is vital, along with crafting guest communication plans to enhance their event experience. On the operational side, the General Manager leads strategic planning efforts, budget oversight, quality control, vendor management, and facility maintenance. The position further requires managing public relations and representing REVELxp in community functions and partner meetings. This role reports directly to the Regional Vice President, allowing the General Manager to significantly influence the company’s growth and success in the market.

Job Duties

  • Full oversight of all revenue related activities including goal setting, forecasting, and development and execution of sales strategies
  • Active participation in revenue generation including outbound sales, inbound sales, in-person meetings and community development initiatives
  • Own and grow relationships with university partners across multiple departments
  • Craft, implement, and oversee guest communication plans for all tailgate and event rental clients
  • Develop a team culture focused on poise, accountability, detail orientation and high attention to hospitality
  • Maintain intimate familiarity with financial records and key performance metrics to provide actionable insights for leadership
  • Own accounts payable and receivable including tracking and reporting
  • Full ownership of pricing and discounts as approved by Vice President
  • Manage and develop all team members reporting into you
  • Provide consistent feedback to staff in relation to key performance metrics and company expectations
  • Oversee recruiting, development of all team members and assist with corporate training when needed
  • Support company-wide initiatives and encourage adoption of initiatives, processes, and policies
  • Strategic planning and trend forecasting
  • Budget oversight
  • Ensure compliance with company-wide initiatives and process improvements
  • Manage and improve systems including quality control, maintenance, inventory, and process management
  • Assist with event layout, design and oversee event operations
  • Manage relationships with key vendors including rental, food and beverage partners
  • Oversee facility management including warehouse and office organization, facility maintenance, cleaning, landscape and pest control
  • Oversee fleet management including cleanliness, maintenance, safety training, and security policy compliance
  • Oversee inventory maintenance, asset counts and repair schedules
  • Budget oversight for hourly labor, game day expenses and office expenditures
  • Serve as a visible representative managing community relations with customers, university administration and athletic departments
  • Manage all partner relationships with existing partners and key event rental clients
  • Attend community functions with executive management.
