Job Description

REVELxp is a premier sports hospitality company specializing in delivering unparalleled fan experiences for hundreds of college and professional sports teams, as well as major sporting events. The company excels in orchestrating full-service tailgates, premium hospitality events, and providing exclusive ticket packages that enrich and elevate the sports fan journey. Beyond managing fan experience offerings, REVELxp offers comprehensive hospitality solutions to its team and event partners through expert event staffing, management, premium hospitality oversight, and venue installations. This unique approach positions REVELxp at the forefront of the sports hospitality industry, blending operational excellence with a deep passion for sports and community engagement.

Founded with the mission to reimagine and redefine game day, REVELxp is dedicated to crafting memory-making experiences that ignite fan passion, boost attendance, and foster loyalty for sports and entertainment brands worldwide. Recognizing the powerful role of sports in building community, the company works tirelessly to amplify the social experience surrounding game day. The atmosphere at REVELxp is fast-paced, dynamic, and fun, focused on creating true partnerships with professional sports properties. The organization is rapidly expanding and actively seeks energetic, goal-oriented, and purpose-driven individuals who share its values of service, entrepreneurship, and joy.

The General Manager position at REVELxp is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing daily event operations, specifically for all tailgating and event rental activities. Reporting directly to the Regional Vice President, this role demands not only operational expertise but also strong leadership capabilities to mentor and develop team members, set performance goals, and ensure company standards are consistently met. A successful General Manager thrives under pressure, demonstrates excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, and has the ability to lead teams to deliver exceptional hospitality services that meet or exceed revenue targets.

Key duties include full oversight of all revenue-related activities, such as goal setting, forecasting, and executing sales strategies related to tailgate and event rental operations. The General Manager serves as an active participant in revenue generation through outbound and inbound sales, conducting in-person meetings, and community engagement initiatives. Maintaining and growing strong relationships with university partners across multiple departments is critical. Additionally, the role involves crafting and implementing guest communication plans, fostering a team culture of accountability and attention to hospitality detail, managing financial records and key performance metrics, and overseeing accounts payable and receivable.

Operational responsibilities are comprehensive, including strategic planning, budget oversight, compliance with company-wide initiatives, and maintaining quality control systems. The General Manager also assists with event layout and design, manages vendor relationships across rental, food, and beverage partners, and oversees facility management aspects such as warehouse, office cleanliness, maintenance, and services like cleaning and landscaping. Fleet management and inventory control are also part of the role, ensuring safety compliance and maintaining repair schedules. The role demands budget vigilance for all expenses, including labor and game day costs.

As a public-facing representative of REVELxp, the General Manager manages community relations with customers, university administrators, and athletic departments, maintains partner relationships with clients, and participates in community functions alongside executive management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a leader within a top-tier sports hospitality company, shaping innovative fan experiences and making a significant impact on the sports entertainment industry.
