The role of Event Manager, Premium Experiences, is vital to maintaining and elevating the company’s high standards for hospitality events. This position involves overseeing marquee event planning and execution, managing venue partner relationships, coordinating event staff, and ensuring budget compliance. Event Managers are responsible for a range of prestigious events, including conference hospitality, bowl games, college playoff championships, and other major sporting events like golf and baseball tournaments. The role requires a strategic vision to design and deliver innovative fan experiences with detailed attention to decor, guest flow, entertainment, and logistics.

Key responsibilities also include leading a team of event specialists, negotiating with vendors, ensuring legal and insurance documentation compliance, and driving operational efficiencies across multiple events. The Event Manager must conduct thorough pre-event analysis, manage fiscal responsibilities, and provide post-event evaluations to stakeholders. Frequent travel is required to oversee events and maintain quality control, emphasizing the interactive and hands-on nature of the position.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college
  • 3+ years managing hospitality events and/or premium services
  • Passion and ability to lead and serve others
  • Effective problem-solving and collaborative skills
  • Strong organization, communication and attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans
  • Proven track record of relationship management
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Availability to travel frequently including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Oversee ideation, curation and execution of marquee hospitality events
  • Develop comprehensive event plans including venue layout, decor, food and beverage, staffing, entertainment and production timelines
  • Manage, advise and develop event specialist teams
  • Conceptualize and execute innovative event experiences with attention to detail
  • Conduct pre-event analysis to establish goals, budget and risk assessment
  • Manage event budget and fiscal oversight
  • Facilitate post-event debriefs and reporting to stakeholders
  • Cultivate partnerships with clients and vendors
  • Negotiate vendor contracts
  • Ensure legal and insurance documentation compliance
  • Develop training systems for hospitality staff
  • Identify expense efficiencies
  • Travel regularly for event quality control
