Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Three to six months of food or beverage service experience
- Vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks and written instructions
- Manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items, and carry trays
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English
- Ability to lift, push, and carry 20 to 40 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent experience
- Three to six months of experience in a food/beverage service environment
- Must have the ability to see detailed guest checks, computer printouts, and written instructions clearly
- Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items, and balance trays with food and beverages
- Able to read, speak, and understand English
- Able to lift, push, and carry 20 to 40 lbs
- Able to stand continuously for long periods
- Excellent communication skills to convey information and hotel services to management, staff, and guests
Job Duties
- Greet and take food and drink orders from restaurant customers, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests
- Remain attentive to customers throughout the dining experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards
- Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side-work
- Memorize menu items, recipes, and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant, wait-station, and kitchen service areas to satisfy health requirements
- Control allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures and documenting all required information
- Receive proper payment from guests, ensuring accuracy of guest checks and payment methods
- Attend all pre-meal and departmental meetings to enhance communication and product knowledge
- Respond to customer inquiries and comments promptly and provide quality customer service
- Present a clean and professional appearance at all times
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor
- Use tact and understanding when dealing with customer service problems, including stressful situations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
