Job Description
Le Pain Quotidien, which translates to 'the daily bread,' is much more than just a bakery or restaurant; it embodies a way of life that celebrates the time-honored tradition of sharing fresh, warm bread in a communal setting. This globally recognized brand fosters a sense of community and warmth where friends and family gather around communal tables to enjoy not only exceptional food but also meaningful moments together. Warm and fragrant loaves emerge from the ovens daily, creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages conversation, connection, and a slow, enjoyable pace of life. Le Pain Quotidien is part of Convive Brands, a New York-based hospitality group that specializes in building and operating high-quality restaurant brands. Convive currently operates over 50 restaurant locations nationwide across two core concepts: Le Pain Quotidien and Little Beet. They focus on long-term growth by developing enterprise value through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. With a commitment to creating exceptional dining experiences, Convive Brands supports a vibrant, inclusive workplace culture where employees are valued for their contributions and can grow professionally in a diverse environment. The position offered is hourly-based with a competitive pay range of $17.00 to $22.00 per hour, plus tips when eligible. This role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality, customer service, and the culinary arts. As a member of the Le Pain Quotidien team, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering friendly and attentive service to all guests throughout their visit. The role requires a proactive approach in anticipating guest needs and preferences, preparing high-quality food and beverages for both retail and dining areas, and ensuring the efficient handling of sales transactions. Additionally, employees will maintain the presentation of pastry displays, keep up-to-date knowledge of menu offerings, manage guest situations empathetically, and complete a variety of opening, mid, and closing tasks to keep the restaurant clean and organized. The job calls for excellent communication skills, including the ability to answer phones courteously and take orders accurately. Candidates who are flexible in their schedule and able to work across different areas of the dining and retail space will find this role particularly rewarding. The work environment emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for hospitality, making it an excellent fit for those seeking to enhance their experience in the restaurant industry while contributing to a legacy of community and shared daily bread.
