As a Retail Warehouse Associate, you will play a vital role in maintaining the flow and quality of furniture products through the warehouse and distribution process. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include safely receiving, moving, storing, assembling, and preparing furniture and home furnishings to ensure they meet Ashley’s high standards before reaching customers. Operating warehouse equipment safely—including forklifts, pallet jacks, lifts, and dollies—will be a core function of your duties, alongside inspecting merchandise, performing minor repairs and touch-ups, and supporting inventory management activities.
This role requires a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and quality, all while delivering exceptional customer service experiences in the warehouse and sometimes in customers’ homes. You will be expected to maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace, accurately complete documentation, and actively participate in training and development programs to grow your skills and contribute innovative ideas. Job Requirements
- Able to safely lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver furniture and merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance for heavier items as needed

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in warehouse, distribution, retail, furniture handling, inventory, assembly, material handling, or powered industrial equipment operation preferred but not required

Job Duties
- Safely receive, move, store, assemble, and prepare furniture and home furnishings throughout the warehouse and distribution process
- operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, lifts, pallet jacks, and dollies while following safety procedures
- inspect, prepare, and maintain merchandise to meet Ashley quality standards before customer pickup or delivery
- load, unload, organize, and stage merchandise to support efficient warehouse operations and inventory accuracy
- assist with product preparation, minor repairs, touch-ups, and repackaging to ensure merchandise is customer-ready
- support inventory management activities such as merchandise tracking, cycle counts, and physical inventories
- demonstrate exemplary customer service by creating positive experiences for customers in the warehouse and in their homes, serving as a professional and trusted representative of the Ashley brand
- maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and complete required documentation accurately and on time
