Job Requirements
- Able to safely lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver furniture and merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance for heavier items as needed
- Experience in warehouse, distribution, retail, furniture handling, inventory, assembly, material handling, or powered industrial equipment operation preferred but not required
- Committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards for product quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Effective communicator who works collaboratively with customers, teammates, and leaders to support a positive, productive work environment
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, dependable attendance, adaptability, and a commitment to following safety procedures and company policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in warehouse, distribution, retail, furniture handling, inventory, assembly, material handling, or powered industrial equipment operation preferred but not required
- Strong physical capability to lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver furniture and merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance for heavier items
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences with attention to detail and product quality
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with customers, teammates, and leaders
- Dependable work ethic, reliable attendance, adaptability, and dedication to following safety procedures and company policies
Job Duties
- Safely receive, move, store, assemble, and prepare furniture and home furnishings throughout the warehouse and distribution process
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, lifts, pallet jacks, and dollies, while following all safety procedures
- Inspect, prepare, and maintain merchandise to ensure products meet Ashley quality standards before customer pickup or delivery
- Load, unload, organize, and stage merchandise to support efficient warehouse operations and inventory accuracy
- Assist with product preparation, minor repairs, touch-ups, and repackaging to ensure merchandise is customer-ready
- Support inventory management activities, including merchandise tracking, cycle counts, and physical inventories
- Demonstrate exemplary customer service by creating positive experiences for customers in the warehouse and in their homes, serving as a professional and trusted representative of the Ashley brand
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while completing required documentation accurately and on time
