This part-time role based in American Fork, UT, focuses on planning, coordinating, and facilitating events within a Michaels store. The key responsibilities revolve around organizing fun and engaging experiences, including kids' birthday parties and other craft classes or events. The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic, and skilled in interacting with clients of all ages, from children to seniors. They will foster an environment of creativity and fun by demonstrating and instructing craft projects, facilitating party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons, and maintaining open communication with clients and store team members. Administrative duties such as answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork management are also fundamental aspects of the position.

Additionally, this role demands a commitment to customer experience by assisting shoppers in product selection, providing a fast and friendly checkout process, promoting the store's Rewards program and credit card enrollment, and supporting omnichannel processes like Buy Online Pickup In Store and Ship From Store. The job requires participation in operational tasks such as truck unloading, stocking, merchandise recovery, and upholding store cleanliness and safety standards. Cross-training in custom framing selling and production is also part of the role. The physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy boxes, and handle stockroom tasks, sometimes outdoors or in varying climate conditions.
