The Retail Team Leader (Key Holder) position is an excellent career opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and retail operations. This role involves significant responsibilities including opening and closing the store, overseeing daily store tasks, managing merchandise through product rotation and quality control, and providing top-tier customer service to build long-lasting client relationships. As a key member of the store leadership team, the Retail Team Leader will also handle cash management tasks such as bank deposits and handling register operations, along with assisting in training and building a high-performing sales associate team. This role is designed for those who are detail-oriented, skilled in stock and inventory management, and have the ability to operate point of sale systems efficiently. This is a full-time role located at the Orlando, Florida location, with a starting hourly pay range of $18-$20 based on experience. The store operates Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 7 PM and Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM, offering a balanced retail schedule to promote work-life harmony.

Job Requirements

  • Have 1-2 years of retail experience
  • ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting above shoulder height
  • schedule availability to work flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • ability to safely operate power equipment such as slicing equipment, walkie lifts and forklifts where applicable
  • occasional availability to respond to alarm calls during non-working hours and work shifts at other local stores
  • minimum age of 18 years
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • successfully pass pre-employment checks including drug screen and criminal background check
  • basic computer skills

Job Duties

  • Opening and closing the store
  • help complete daily store operations and tasks for the day
  • assist in unloading all merchandise from delivery trucks, organize merchandise, and transfer merchandise from stockroom to store
  • maintain merchandise including product rotation, proper food handling, receiving, and ensuring product quality
  • provide exceptional customer service including building relationships, problem-solving, and building sales
  • handle cash including bank deposits, getting change for cashiers, setting and counting down registers
  • help build and train the team, develop leadership skills while aiding in supervising sales associates in the performance of their duties
