Job Description

Intuit, a leading financial software company known globally for its innovative solutions such as TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Mint, is committed to powering prosperity around the world. With a focus on empowering individuals and businesses to manage their finances effectively, Intuit combines cutting-edge technology with a customer-centric approach. Its TurboTax product is one of the most trusted and widely used tax preparation software solutions in the United States, designed to streamline the complex tax filing process for millions of taxpayers annually. The company fosters a dynamic and inclusive work culture that values innovation, community engagement, and professional growth. Intuit’s mission drives its workforce to deliver exceptional service while continuously improving financial outcomes for customers through education, technology, and expert advice.

The role of Tax Expert - TurboTax Store is a unique, seasonal, and sometimes year-round opportunity that places you at the forefront of customer interaction within TurboTax retail locations across the United States. This position is ideal for highly motivated individuals who possess strong tax expertise and an entrepreneurial spirit combined with excellent interpersonal skills. As a Tax Expert, you will be the local face of TurboTax, responsible for attracting new customers, building lasting relationships, and delivering comprehensive tax assistance. Your role involves not only preparing tax returns but also providing tax advice, helping customers understand deductions and credits, optimizing their refunds, and offering future tax planning guidance.

Working primarily on-site at a TurboTax location, this role requires a proactive approach to community engagement, including organizing and leading local marketing events, participating in community outreach, and leveraging digital platforms to extend TurboTax’s reach. You will interact with customers both in-person and virtually using state-of-the-art communication tools, helping alleviate their tax-related anxieties and guiding them through potentially complex tax scenarios ranging from personal returns to business filings. This role offers the chance to grow a client portfolio, leveraging TurboTax’s marketing support and software resources to build a sustainable business while contributing positively to your community’s financial well-being.

The Tax Expert position demands a blend of technical know-how, customer service excellence, and a genuine passion for empowering others. You will need to be adaptable to operating hours that may scale with demand, typically requiring at least 20 hours per week on-site, including weekends. Compensation is competitive and regionally adjusted, with opportunities for cash bonuses, equity rewards, and other benefits, aligned with Intuit’s mission to deliver value both to employees and customers. By joining Intuit as a Tax Expert, you become part of a forward-thinking company committed to innovation, diversity, and making a tangible impact on the financial lives of the communities you serve.
