The Retail Supervisor-Events position at Product Connections is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the effective, efficient, and quality execution of events within a specified retail location. This role involves managing and coaching a team of Event Specialists to ensure they comply with company standards, particularly in food safety and customer engagement practices. With an annual pay rate of $43,888, this full-time role requires the individual to not only supervise but also motivate and develop a team ranging between 10 to 50 employees. A significant aspect of the position involves auditing events and providing hands-on coaching to maintain high execution standards that meet and exceed client expectations. The supervisor is also the primary liaison between the retail store management and the event team, ensuring smooth communication and coordination before, during, and after events.

In addition to team leadership, the Retail Supervisor-Events manages logistical aspects such as event scheduling, expense tracking including payroll time management, and equipment maintenance. The role demands a proactive approach to rescheduling to maximize event success rates and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of retail environments. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, reaching, and lifting, consistent with the active environment of retail store events. Required certifications include a valid driver’s license, National Registry of Food and Safety certification obtained within 30 days if not pre-certified, and potentially a local food handler’s permit based on location. This position also necessitates proficiency with mobile and desktop computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office Suite, to navigate company internal systems effectively. Bilingual skills may be advantageous depending on specific business needs, and local travel is expected. Job Requirements

  • Associate degree and/or technical diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One to two years related experience and/or training

Job Duties

  • Responsible for recruiting, supervising and motivating employees
  • Developing them to deliver on our client's expectations
  • Train Events Specialists on company processes, policies, procedures, and position responsibilities
  • Ensure quality execution by conducting audits and work-withs of Event Specialists and develop event execution skills and knowledge while ensuring Food Safety practices are maintained
  • Communicates with store management about the upcoming events and the execution of past event in their store
  • Will be the point of contact for all events being conducted in the store
  • Assist Event Specialist with event kits, materials and tools as needed
  • Monitor and manage expense metrics such as payroll time entries and additional expenses
  • Manage execution and overall performance of scheduled events by monitoring daily and weekly provided scorecards to ensure the highest level of on-date execution is met
  • Reschedule events as needed in a timely manner to maximize our on-date, on weekend and total execution results
  • Responsible for sharing competitive knowledge and best practices with team
  • Communicate effectively, develop and maintain a strong working relationship with field support, recruiting and client services
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly demo kitchen to ensure appliances are in working order and in good repair
  • Inspect company equipment on a regular basis to ensure proper maintenance
