As a Store Specialist at OSJL, you play a vital role in fostering a welcoming and positive retail environment. The position involves direct interaction with customers to provide exceptional service following the T.R.E.A.T. model, which ensures that every customer feels valued and appreciated. Your responsibilities include processing complex point-of-sale transactions accurately, assisting customers with inquiries, and helping locate products. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 35 pounds regularly
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Basic math and reading proficiency
  • Prior retail experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Prior retail merchandising, customer service and/or cashier experience in other retail environments is preferred
  • Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Full-time associates in this role must have availability to work as needed by the business including nights and weekends
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Job Duties

  • Build lasting relationships by providing exceptional customer service through the T.R.E.A.T. model
  • Assist customers with inquiries, locate items, complete purchases, handle transactions accurately, and perform advanced point-of-sale functions
  • Promote company-wide customer initiatives including donations, loyalty programs, and promotions
  • Maintain visually appealing displays, restock assigned areas, and merchandise new items according to company guidelines
  • Train and coordinate assigned associates, manage breaks according to policy and regulations
  • Communicate issues and improvement opportunities to store leadership
  • Maintain a safe and organized environment for customers and associates through proactive maintenance and cleaning
  • Handle daily damages and returns according to established procedures
