Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4-6 years of retail leadership or customer service experience
- Ability to work full time with flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to manage and lead a team
- Must be over the age of 18
- Legal authorization to work in the country
Job Qualifications
- 4-6 years of retail leadership or customer-focused experience
- Full time availability with flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience overseeing multiple associates and leaders
Job Duties
- Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, and terminating employees
- Build an open-door culture by engaging and listening to associates
- Create and post schedules for the entire store
- Facilitate associate development including reviews, recognition, training, onboarding, mentoring, and succession planning
- Delegate effectively and empower others to succeed
- Lead the pet parent experience and ensure pets are safe and healthy
- Monitor store operations and continuously improve processes
- Collaborate with leadership on community events and adoption partnerships
- Maintain store standards and enforce policies and procedures
- Conduct safety and compliance audits
- Manage store financial goals and labor within budget
- Analyze business results and develop improvement plans
- Process payroll and manage reporting
- Uphold store opening and closing procedures
