Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- two to three years' experience as a cashier or in customer service
- ability to handle cash drawer
- flexible schedule including evenings, Fridays, and one weekend day
- full-time availability

Job Duties
- Remains consistently friendly and courteous to all customers
- computes or re-computes bill, itemized lists, and invoices showing amount due
- makes change, accepts checks and credit cards, and issues receipts to customers
- understands, applies, and follows cashier's standards as written
- records amounts received and prepares reports of transactions
- applies/processes cash refunds or issues credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise
- promotes Summit Speed Card and processes applications
- balances cash drawer and completes closeout sheet each day
- answers incoming telephone calls
- assists with merchandising duties as needed
- general housekeeping as necessary
- promotes in-store specials
- contributes to a positive workplace environment
- processes returns and completes paperwork for warranty returns when a return specialist is not available
- ensures retail location is clear of missing parts
- stocks shelves and counters with merchandise
- assists in setting up advertising displays or arranging merchandise on counters to promote sales
- stamps, marks, or tags price on merchandise
- obtains merchandise requested by customer and places merchandise in a bag or box
- assists customers in carrying larger items to their vehicle
- answers customer's questions and offers assistance or direction
- greets customers when they enter the store and checks packages and receipts when exiting the store
- understands, applies, and follows performance standards as written
- contributes to a positive workplace environment
