The Store Area Team Leader role at OSJL is a pivotal leadership position within the retail environment. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 4 years retail management experience
Proven ability to manage teams and store operations
Proficient with Google applications
Experience with HCM and business intelligence tools preferred
Ability to work in a climate-controlled environment
Capability to stand, move, and position oneself for long periods
Flexibility to travel as needed
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to adhere to company policies and standards
Willingness to perform varied duties as required

Job Qualifications

4+ years of previous retail management experience or equivalent education and experience
Proficient in Google platform including Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, and Sheets
Preferred experience with HCM and business intelligence tools
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
Strong understanding of merchandising principles and inventory management
Ability to leverage technology to optimize store operations
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to foster a positive and productive team environment
Experience with financial reconciliation and expense management
Knowledge of customer service excellence and store presentation standards

Job Duties

Support company programs flawlessly to maximize revenue and achieve store goals
Ensure the store runs smoothly in the absence of the Store Team Leader, demonstrating leadership capabilities
Reconcile daily funds according to store closing procedures
Lead and support an efficient freight flow process and maintain a well-organized backroom with a 24-hour freight turnaround
Leverage technology to maximize scheduling effectiveness in managing freight
Partner with the Store Team Leader to maintain optimal store inventory levels and ensure proper merchandising and product placement
Lead and support timely and accurate placement of products on the sales floor ensuring compliance with company merchandising standards
Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement merchandising strategies that drive sales and optimize inventory turnover
Monitor, lead, and assist with freight flow including receipt, processing, and stocking of products
Coordinate receiving team for accurate receipt and inspection of merchandise and address product shortages or overstocks
Support recruitment, training, and development of store associates
Identify and nurture high-potential associates for future growth
Foster a knowledgeable and stable team environment where associates feel valued and empowered
Ensure the store exceeds standards for merchandising, cleanliness, and presentation
Lead by example to maintain compliance with company policies and programs
Cultivate positive working relationships with store leadership, associates, and field management
Monitor and maintain exceptional customer service exceeding company and customer expectations
Use technological tools to support HCM processes, benefits, learning management, and store expense management
Review productivity goals consistently using Domo Store Spotlight and Thinktime communications
Utilize mobile devices to manage operational expectations of the store
