Job Description
Intuit is a leading technology company known primarily for its financial software solutions, including TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Mint. Deeply committed to simplifying financial management for individuals and businesses alike, Intuit stands at the forefront of innovation and customer service. The company fosters a culture centered on customer obsession, continuous improvement, and inclusivity, creating a workplace that encourages both professional growth and personal fulfillment. TurboTax, a flagship offering under Intuit, exemplifies this commitment by providing user-friendly and accessible tax preparation services across the United States. This role is situated within the TurboTax retail network, where customer experience and hospitality are paramount.
The position of Customer Advisor at Intuit TurboTax is a hospitality-centered, in-person role focused on delivering exceptional, high-touch customer service. It is a year-round, non-exempt role with opportunities for seasonal contracts, offering compensation ranging approximately between $24.23 and $32.21 per hour depending on geographic location. The primary mission of the Customer Advisor is to create a welcoming and reassuring environment where every individual feels heard, cared for, and empowered to make informed decisions about their tax preparation and related services. Unlike traditional tax preparers, the Customer Advisor acts as a dedicated host and expert navigator, providing guidance tailored to each customer’s unique concerns without actually preparing tax returns.
In this position, you will serve as the on-the-ground face of TurboTax, embodying premium hospitality and attentiveness. From warmly greeting customers as they enter the store to carefully listening to their needs and questions, the role emphasizes building genuine connections that foster trust and confidence. You will guide customers through their experience, ensuring clarity and comfort, reducing any friction or obstacles they might face, and providing proactive follow-up support. This customer-centric approach helps set TurboTax apart in the marketplace and contributes to Intuit’s reputation for superior customer experiences.
An essential part of your responsibilities is championing the Intuit and TurboTax brands by not only delivering exemplary service but also providing feedback to help improve the overall customer and employee experience. This continuous improvement mindset aligns with Intuit’s values and helps drive innovation within the retail locations. The role requires flexibility with scheduling—working at least 20 hours weekly, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with the option to increase hours during peak tax season.
Beyond the rewarding nature of the work itself, Intuit provides a comprehensive benefits package that supports employee well-being and financial security. These benefits include a 401(k) savings plan with company matching, medical, dental and vision coverage for employees and qualifying dependents, paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and birthdays off, employee stock purchase options, assistance programs, holiday pay at time and a half, discounts on Intuit products such as TurboTax, as well as career growth and collaboration opportunities with TurboTax’s dynamic network of professionals. Support with mobile phone expenses and seasonal benefits further enhance the employment experience.
If you are a hospitality-driven, empathetic professional passionate about creating meaningful customer interactions and thrive in a fast-paced, supportive environment, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, growing program within a respected tech company. Join Intuit TurboTax as a Customer Advisor and make an impact by ensuring every guest feels valued, understood, and expertly guided through their tax journey.
