Job Requirements
- flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- ability to communicate effectively in English with customers and coworkers
- physical ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours
- ability to lift at least 25 pounds
- capable of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- good close vision, color vision, and depth perception
- comfortable using technology such as cash registers and handheld devices
- willing to meet daily sales challenges and work collaboratively
- resourceful and adaptable to changing priorities
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous retail or customer service experience a plus
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- passion for fashion and awareness of current trends
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- comfortable using electronic devices and point-of-sale systems
- goal-oriented with a customer-focused attitude
Job Duties
- greet customers warmly and create engaging, personal conversations to build lasting relationships
- actively circulate the sales floor to understand customer needs and recommend products
- share information about Macy’s loyalty programs and encourage credit account sign-ups
- maintain merchandise standards including sales floor and fitting room upkeep
- update signage, pricing, and support merchandise moves to ensure a shoppable environment
- assist with fulfillment tasks to keep the store organized and inviting
- collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales goals and provide excellent service
