The Retail Sales Supervisor position at Staples plays a crucial role in championing customer engagement and managing front-of-store operations. This role involves leading the store team to increase sales, improve conversion rates, and enhance overall customer service throughout the store. Retail Sales Supervisors are responsible for fostering an exceptional store experience by actively engaging customers and providing complete solutions that align with their requirements. Working closely with the store General Manager and team members, the supervisor takes ownership of weekly sales and merchandising activities, ensuring that store operations run smoothly and efficiently.

The role requires a motivated individual who can provide peer coaching and support to the store team, driving customer service excellence, sales growth, and conversion improvements. As a Floor Leader, the Retail Sales Supervisor directs the team to deliver a great customer experience in all store areas, champions company initiatives with adaptability, and remains supportive and available to maintain a positive and engaging store environment. Daily tasks include completing merchandising and sales opportunities, assisting with operational duties alongside the General Manager, and coaching the team on winning behaviors through role playing and feedback. The supervisor must be flexible to perform other duties as assigned and demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and conflict management skills.

This position requires at least one year of experience selling retail products or services, the ability to work a flexible schedule based on store needs, and a genuine desire to engage with customers and understand their needs. Candidates must be able to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment, act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information, and be physically capable of lifting or moving materials weighing between 10 and 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and standing or walking continuously.
