We are currently hiring for the position that offers a starting rate of $20.72 per hour, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible work schedules. Our store operates Monday through Sunday based on business needs, with shifts available between 5:00 am and 7:00 pm. This role may include overtime compensation and requires candidates to be adaptable and ready to meet the needs of a bustling retail environment.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in customer-focused settings and has a passion for inventory management, retail sales, and ensuring a memorable shopping experience. The role combines front-end cash handling duties, sales floor stocking and organization, as well as maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the store. Additionally, freight handling experience is considered a plus, as the job frequently involves stocking and product rotation responsibilities that require the use of equipment like reach trucks and pallet jacks.
The successful candidate will engage with customers to enhance their experience by providing efficient and professional service at checkouts and throughout the store. They will be expected to perform cash functions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems, manage inventory shipments, carefully rotate merchandise following FIFO guidelines, and assist in price changes and inventory counts as requested by management. Physical stamina and the ability to work under varying temperature conditions within the retail environment are necessary, with tasks ranging from standing and walking frequently to occasionally lifting heavy loads.
Safety, customer courtesy, and maintaining a clean environment are core components of the job. Duties include ensuring the cleanliness of sales floors, restrooms, parking lots, and store entry areas, gathering shopping carts, and promptly reporting or correcting safety issues. An understanding of store operations, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role, along with basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as proprietary software used within the company.
Candidates should have a minimum of 6-12 months retail cashier or stocking experience, with preferred qualifications including one year of retail selling or customer service experience. A high school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. This position demands a motivated, self-driven individual capable of multitasking and prioritizing work independently or within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude toward delivering outstanding customer service.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience
- Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
- Basic computer and cash handling skills
- Physical ability to stand continuously and lift/carry up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications
- Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience required

Job Duties
- Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF’STORE experience by developing and maximizing relationships with the store’s customers
- Perform sales and cash functions in the POS in an efficient and accurate manner including scanning merchandise and using handheld devices
- Perform cart-to-cart transfer of all products at checkout including visual inspection for product tampering
- Perform duties as receipt checker verifying cart content versus purchases as customers leave the store
- Perform store opening and/or closing functions at the front end based on assigned shift
- Ensure a continuing focus on increasing sales and managing shrinkage while assisting customers to find products
- Assist in receiving inventory shipments and maintaining/stoking shelves with proper rotation and product quality audits
- Ensure all merchandise is properly labeled including blaster tagging and affixing weights or tags
- Replenish sales floor daily by down stocking freight from top stock following FIFO
- Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and proprietary software as needed
- Ensure all products are easily accessible, visually appealing, and constantly available
- Assist with price changes as directed by Pricing Lead and Store Management
- Assist in opening and closing duties of the store
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts as needed
- Ensure the facility is well maintained and safe for staff and customers by following safety policies and practices
- Ensure cleanliness of sales floor, front end, restrooms and parking lot
- Gather carts from the parking lot and cart corrals and bring them to designated areas ensuring cleanliness and operability
- Perform other duties assigned by Store Management as needed
