As a key member of the CHEF'STORE team, the individual in this role will primarily work in the front end, sales floor, and stocking areas, ensuring that customers have an impeccable experience from the moment they interact with the store to the time they leave. Responsibilities will span customer service interactions, order processing at the point of sale using various technologies such as handheld scan guns, numeric keypads, and countertop scales, and physical stocking tasks which include product rotation with a focus on FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory methods. The role also involves maintaining store cleanliness, assisting with inventory audits, price label adjustments, and executing opening and closing procedures. Candidates need to exhibit strong customer service skills, basic to moderate computer and cash handling competencies, and be comfortable with frequently moving, lifting, and carrying moderate to heavy items. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
- minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience
- must be able to repetitively lift 40-80 pounds
- ability to work in freezers and coolers
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- basic computer skills

Job Qualifications
- Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience
- minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred

Job Duties
- Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF'STORE experience by developing and maximizing relationships with the store’s customers
- perform sales and cash functions in the POS in an efficient and accurate manner including scanning merchandise, weighing products, and looking up items not scanning
- perform cart-to-cart transfer of all products at checkout including visual inspection for tampering
- perform receipt checking by verifying cart content versus purchases
- perform store opening and/or closing functions at the front end based on assigned shifts
- assist in receiving inventory shipments and maintain and stock shelves in a neat and orderly fashion with proper rotation and product quality audits
- ensure all merchandise is properly labeled, including blaster tagging, catch weight labeling, and affixing plu tags to produce items
- replenish sales floor daily by down stocking freight from top stock in accordance with FIFO
- utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel and proprietary software as needed
- ensure all products are easily accessible, visually appealing, and constantly available
- assist with price changes and participate in inventory and cycle count processes
- ensure the facility is well maintained and safe for staff and customers by adhering to safety policies
- ensure cleanliness of sales floor, front end, restrooms, parking lot, and store entry areas
- gather and maintain carts for customer use
- perform additional duties as assigned by store management
