The role available at Chef'Store is a Front End and Sales Floor Associate position that combines customer service, sales, and stocking duties to ensure an outstanding shopping experience for customers. This role is vital in maintaining the store’s customer-centric environment by supporting front end operations such as cash handling, product scanning, and customer receipt checking during checkout. The associate will be responsible for fostering positive customer relationships by greeting and assisting shoppers, utilizing skills and tools learned through the Chef'Store Way training. Additionally, the associate will support the sales floor by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and conducting product quality audits to maintain the store’s high standards. There are also responsibilities related to maintaining store cleanliness and safety, including tidying sales floors, restrooms, and parking areas.

The associate will be expected to complete inventory and cycle counts and assist with price changes as directed. The work environment exposes employees to various temperature ranges from -10 to 85 degrees inside the store, sometimes involving outdoor conditions and moderate noise levels. Physical requirements include standing and walking frequently, lifting items up to 100 lbs occasionally, and proficiency in basic computer programs like Microsoft Word and Excel. Job Requirements

Minimum sixth grade education or equivalent work experience
Six to twelve months retail cashier and/or stocking experience
Basic computer skills
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally
Ability to stand continuously and walk frequently during shift
Capability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF’STORE experience by developing and maximizing relationships with customers
Perform sales and cash functions in the POS efficiently and accurately including scanning merchandise and weighing products
Perform cart-to-cart transfer of all products at checkout and inspect for product tampering
Verify cart contents versus purchases as a receipt checker
Perform store opening and/or closing functions at the front end
Increase sales and manage shrinkage by assisting customers and maintaining sales floor neatness
Stock shelves, receive inventory shipments, and conduct product quality audits
Ensure merchandise is properly labeled and perform price changes as directed
Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Maintain cleanliness of sales floor, restrooms, and parking lot
Gather carts from parking lot and return them to designated area
Follow safety policies and notify management of safety issues
Assist in inventory and cycle counts
May perform other duties as assigned by Store Management
