This position is part-time with a schedule of 24-32 hours weekly, requiring availability between 5 AM and 6:30 PM, including weekends and holidays. Starting pay is based on experience at $18.65 per hour.

This role involves working in a fast-paced retail environment where the individual will contribute to the overall customer experience by handling a variety of front-end and sales floor duties. Key responsibilities include cashiering, stocking, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. The position requires frequent lifting of 40-80 pounds and working in cold storage environments such as freezers and coolers. The candidate will perform customer service tasks to ensure every visitor has a positive experience, contribute to merchandising and product rotation activities, and assist in open and close store functions. Other essential duties include operating POS systems efficiently, verifying product barcodes, managing cart transfers, and providing receipt checking services. The job demands physical endurance for standing continuously, frequent walking, and lifting moderate to heavy weights. Computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and proprietary software, are necessary for inventory and stock management. The environment involves exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and public interactions requiring adaptability and strong interpersonal skills. Job Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required
Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience
Availability to work 24-32 hours weekly including weekends and holidays
Ability to lift frequently 40-80 pounds
Ability to work in freezers and coolers
Ability to perform physical activities such as standing continuously, walking frequently, climbing and balancing frequently, bending and twisting frequently, stooping and kneeling occasionally
Ability to operate POS systems and handheld scanning devices
Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
Must be able to work flexible shifts as scheduled.

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience
Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred
Must possess the desire and ability to deliver exceptional customer service
Provide fast, easy, efficient, and professional service to customers
Demonstrate good common sense and logical thinking
Possess basic mathematical aptitude
Be motivated and self-driven with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently or within a team
Be able to work a flexible hourly schedule including holidays and weekends
Possess basic computer skills and cash handling experience
Proficiency utilizing general office equipment.

Job Duties

Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF STORE experience by developing and maximizing relationships with the store's customers
Perform sales and cash functions in the POS in an efficient and accurate manner
Perform cart-to-cart transfer of all products at checkout, including a visual inspection to look for product tampering
Perform duties as receipt checker, verifying cart content vs. purchases as customers leave the store
Perform store opening and/or closing functions at the front end based on assigned shift
Ensure a continuing focus on increasing sales and managing shrinkage
Assist in receiving inventory shipments and maintaining and stocking shelves in a neat and orderly fashion
Ensure all merchandise is properly labeled including blaster tagging and catch weight labels
Replenish sales floor daily by down stocking freight from top stock
Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and proprietary software
Ensure all products are easily accessible, visually appealing, and constantly available
Assist with price changes as directed by Pricing Lead and Store Management
Assist in the opening and closing duties of the store
Participate in the inventory and cycle count process as needed
Ensure the facility is well maintained and is a safe environment for staff and customers by following safety policies and practices
Ensure the cleanliness of the sales floor, front end, restrooms, parking lot, and store entry area
Gather carts from the parking lot and cart corrals, ensuring all are clean and operable
Perform other duties as assigned or required by Store Management.
