We are currently seeking a motivated Part-time Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing outstanding customer service, eager to grow professionally, and excited to contribute to a team-oriented environment. The position offers competitive hourly pay of $17.69 and requires availability primarily for part-time shifts including weekends and evenings, with 3 to 4 days of work per week. Experience in freight handling is considered an asset.

The Retail Sales Associate will be a vital part of the store's operations, taking on varied responsibilities such as cashiering, stocking, and providing courteous customer service across different store departments. Flexibility is key in this role, as associates may be assigned to the front end of the store to manage sales transactions and merchandise sales, or to sales floor departments including Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, Dry Goods, and Culinary Equipment & Supply. Associates will also assist in receiving inventory shipments, replenishing stock, rotating products to maintain quality, and supporting store events like vendor fairs and inventory counts.

This role demands a proactive attitude with an emphasis on delivering an impeccable shopping experience, ensuring all products are properly labeled, accessible, and visually appealing. The associate will use point-of-sale systems efficiently, handle various customer service duties, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. Physical demands of the job include frequent standing, walking, lifting, and carrying items of varying weights, requiring a good level of physical fitness and stamina.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6-12 months of experience in retail cashier or stocking positions and preferably over a year of retail selling or customer service experience. High school diploma or equivalent is required, alongside basic computer proficiency, cash handling skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail setting. The associate should be adaptable with a willingness to assist team members and maintain flexibility with scheduling, including holidays and weekends.
