Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience
- Ability to work flexible hours Monday through Sunday between 5:00am and 7:00pm
- Ability to perform physical activities such as standing continuously, walking frequently, lifting and carrying weights up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Freight experience a plus
- Must be able to assist with stocking, price changes, and inventory
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to operate POS and related technology
- Strong customer service orientation
- Must be able to maintain store cleanliness and safety practices
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience
- Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred
- Desire and ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Ability to provide fast, easy, efficient, and professional service
- Good common sense and basic mathematical aptitude
- Motivated and self-driven with ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to work flexible hourly schedule including holidays and weekends
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with cash handling
- Ability to use general office equipment
Job Duties
- Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF'STORE experience by developing and maximizing relationships with customers
- Perform sales and cash functions in the POS efficiently and accurately
- Perform cart-to-cart transfer and visual inspection of products at checkout
- Verify cart content versus purchases as a receipt checker
- Perform store opening and/or closing functions at the front end
- Ensure increasing sales and manage shrinkage on sales floor
- Assist in receiving inventory shipments and stocking shelves neatly
- Ensure all merchandise is properly labeled including specialized tags
- Replenish sales floor daily using FIFO stock rotation
- Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Maintain products easily accessible and visually appealing
- Assist with price changes as directed
- Participate in inventory and cycle count processes
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of store including parking lot
- Gather and maintain shopping carts clean and operable
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Store Management
