Job Requirements
- flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- dependable attendance and punctuality
- ability to communicate effectively in English with customers and team members
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift at least 25 pounds
- capability to perform tasks such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching above eye level
- good vision including color vision and depth perception
- frequent use of computers and handheld technology for sales transactions
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- basic math skills for handling transactions
- ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet daily sales goals
- comfort using electronic devices and operating cash registers
Job Duties
- greet customers warmly and provide personalized product recommendations
- maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and fitting rooms
- achieve daily sales goals through effective customer engagement and smart selling behaviors
- update merchandise signage and pricing as needed to support merchandising efforts
- assist customers with fitting room needs and ensure a positive shopping experience
- promote Macy’s Loyalty program and complete sales transactions accurately
- support team members with honesty, care, and collaboration to achieve individual and store results
