The available position at HomeGoods, a store under the TJX Companies umbrella located in Lansing, Michigan, is a part-time role offering a starting pay range of $14.00 to $14.50 per hour. This position is designed for individuals passionate about providing outstanding customer service while supporting the efficient day-to-day operations of the retail store. The role is centered on ensuring a highly satisfied customer experience through engagement and interaction, embodying the company’s customer experience philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Employees are expected to adhere closely to operational procedures, merchandise standards, and loss prevention policies to contribute effectively to the store's success.

In this role, team members may be cross-trained in multiple areas of the store, allowing them to support various business needs and enhance their skills across different facets of retail operations. Responsibilities include accurately ringing up purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing and merchandising sales floor products according to set standards, and participating in store recovery through maintaining cleanliness and organization. Employees are also involved in safety initiatives and shrink reduction programs to uphold store safety and profitability.

This position requires excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities, along with a readiness to adapt quickly to changing situations. Candidates should be capable of lifting heavy objects with or without accommodation and able to work flexible schedules as required by the business. While prior retail customer experience is preferred, TJX Companies also values candidates who demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and an ability to collaborate well with peers and supervisors.
