As a full-time Verizon Retail Sales Associate, you will be part of a dynamic retail team focused on unlocking your full potential and achieving sales success within one of Verizon's retail stores. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technology and deliver exceptional customer service while contributing to the expansion of the Verizon network. You will be tasked with generating retail sales by understanding customer needs through meaningful connections and insightful questions. Leveraging your communication skills, you'll provide customers with tailored tech solutions that are simple and intuitive, ultimately closing sales successfully.
Your position will involve continuous professional development through ongoing training and acquisition of operational skills, such as merchandising and inventory management. Additionally, you will have the potential to grow your customer base by engaging in outbound calls and text messaging to current Verizon customers, fostering long-term loyalty. Beyond the store environment, there will be opportunities to participate in community engagement initiatives through off-site Verizon-sponsored events, broadening your reach and impact.
This role is not your typical entry-level retail position. With a competitive base pay ranging from $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, complemented by up to $18,000 in annual individual-based commissions upon meeting sales goals, the earning potential is significant. Top performers can exceed expectations and earn an extra $14,500 or more in commissions, resulting in a total annual income of $65,000 to $75,500 or more, depending on geography, hours worked, and performance. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of relevant experience
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays with schedule provided four weeks in advance
- Openness to pick up additional shifts during peak periods and holidays
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with customers
- Strong passion for technology and sales
- Capability to meet sales goals and work in a commission-based environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of relevant experience through work or military service
- Experience working in a commission-based environment is a plus
- Demonstrated sales experience communicating with customers
- Customer service experience
Job Duties
- Generate retail sales by using passion for technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network
- Learn and uncover customers' needs by creating connections and asking the right questions
