The position of Sales Associate at Wayfair’s Returns Outlet retail store offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and retail operations. This role is ideal for those seeking part-time employment, with a starting hourly wage of $17.50 and potential for growth as tenure increases. Working approximately 20 hours per week, the schedule is designed to balance work and personal life while meeting the demands of the retail environment. Store hours range from Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 8 PM, and Sunday, 10 AM to 7 PM, with some shifts possibly beginning or ending outside these hours.

As a Sales Associate, you will be an authentic brand ambassador who leads and creates a best-in-class customer experience. You will connect customers with Wayfair’s vast online assortment brought to life in the physical store, greeting and assisting them throughout their visit. Your responsibilities will include assisting at the cash wrap, participating in operational tasks like receiving and replenishing stock, and supporting launch efforts involving physical labor such as unloading trucks and building furniture. This role requires a positive, professional attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

The role demands excellent communication, organization, self-motivation, and relationship management skills. While customer service experience is preferred, the position is open to entry-level candidates who demonstrate a passion for exceeding sales targets and delivering excellent customer service. Associates must be comfortable learning new software and systems, possess strong verbal and active listening skills, and have the ability to process transactions efficiently through computer and point-of-sale systems.
