The Retail Manager position at Bass Pro Shops involves overseeing one or more Sales Departments within the store, ensuring excellence in merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing strategies, sales initiatives, staff development, and customer service. This full-time role requires a dedicated leader who is capable of managing daily store operations including opening and closing the store and serving as the Manager on Duty. The Retail Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sales growth by executing company sales plans and maintaining planograms prescribed by the corporate office.   • Minimum of 3 years retail management experience

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in retail management with responsibility for one or more sales departments

Job Duties

  • Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers
  • meets or exceeds all financial plans as set by the company
  • executes all sales plans as directed by the company
  • opens and closes the store
  • obtains manager on duty responsibilities
  • maintains planograms as set by the corporate office

  • prepares weekly work schedules
  • coaches and motivates associates to promote positive customer relations and a productive team-oriented work environment

  • carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, measuring and evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • provides a legendary experience for every customer every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers needs, making product recommendations based off of this analysis, promoting programs including but not limited to CLUB Membership, VOC and In-Store Pick-up
