Job Description

Sodexo is a global leader in providing comprehensive food, nutrition, environmental, and facilities management solutions tailored specifically for college campuses. With a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being of college students and creating healthy, supportive learning environments, Sodexo partners with universities to deliver exceptional service experiences. At the heart of Sodexo's mission is the drive to improve the quality of life for those they serve, incorporating economic, social, and environmental progress into their operations worldwide. The company values diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunities, fostering a workplace culture where employees feel respected, valued, and empowered to be themselves. Sodexo's extensive experience in campus dining and facilities management positions it as a preferred employer for individuals passionate about impacting student life in meaningful ways.

The Retail Manager 3 position at Sodexo located at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, TX, is a pivotal leadership role within the Kings Family Commons Building's retail operations. This building houses four distinctive food service units: Magnolias Zero 7, which is an allergen-free kitchen dedicated to students with medically diagnosed allergies but open to all students; a Starbucks We Proudly Brew grab-and-go outlet; Calientes, a Mexican lunch and dinner program; and O'Brien's Burgers. Except for Magnolia's, these units are supported by a commissary kitchen, providing an efficient back-end culinary operation. The Retail Manager 3 is responsible for overseeing the volume and performance of these units, maintaining high standards of food quality, brand integrity, and customer service.

This role entails leading and mentoring frontline teams, including a Retail Manager II and up to 75 hourly union employees, ensuring effective operations and adherence to Sodexo and HACCP safety programs. The manager will serve as the primary contact point between the university, students, and management, specifically addressing the unique dietary needs of students with allergies. The candidate must demonstrate flexibility by working weekends and evenings as necessary to meet operational demands. Key responsibilities include conducting brand standard audits for both in-house and national brands, managing retail food service daily operations including opening and closing processes, maintaining accurate signage, and overseeing vendor relations and compliance. This opportunity offers a chance to contribute to a dynamic campus community, promoting food safety, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence while supporting students' diverse nutritional needs.
