The Retail Host plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the retail facility. Reporting directly to the General Manager and working within the retail department, the Retail Host is tasked with supporting sales activities and managing inventory control to ensure operational flow. This non-exempt position involves direct interaction with customers, providing product knowledge and assisting customers in making informed purchasing decisions. The Retail Host is also responsible for the accurate entry of data into point-of-sale systems, handling cash and discounts appropriately, and assisting with the intake and management of cannabis products within inventory protocols. Additionally, this role includes responsibilities for curbside pickup services, verifying customer identities, and ensuring transaction accuracy. The Retail Host ensures all retail operations comply with security, safety, and confidentiality standards including HIPAA regulations, while helping maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store environment. Working in this role demands flexibility, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to upholding the company’s mission and values in every customer and team interaction. Job Qualifications

- experience in retail sales or customer service preferred

Job Duties
- help retail customers in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives
- provide extensive retail product knowledge to assist customers in making educated purchasing decisions
- complete assigned tasks during scheduled shifts
- use and maintain point of sale (POS) system accurately
- follow proper cash handling procedures and apply discounts/coupons
- answer phones and greet customers pleasantly
- maintain accurate inventory counts and product sales records
- assist in cannabis product inventory intake following quality assurance and inventory protocols
- prepare, package, and deliver curbside pickup orders accurately
- verify identity of curbside pickup customers before exchanging currency
- ensure correct money exchange prior to providing purchases
- complete curbside pickup transactions properly
- maintain medical patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- apply all security and safety compliance procedures and protocols
- maintain store cleanliness and organization of sales floor and inventory areas
- communicate openly with management and coworkers
- report employee issues or customer concerns to supervisory staff
- support management team with daily activities, maintenance, and issue resolution
- ensure customer satisfaction by following established sales and customer service policies
- perform other duties as assigned
