The role of Retail Food Manager 2 at Sodexo is integral to the successful operation of high-volume retail food venues within the Renown Hospital community. This position is designed for a dynamic, hands-on foodservice leader who excels in fast-paced, demanding environments. As a Retail Food Manager 2, you will be responsible for overseeing daily foodservice operations to ensure consistent food quality, exceptional service standards, and a welcoming dining environment. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving engagement among hourly associates, ensuring they receive adequate training and support to meet operational expectations.

In addition to managing the team, you will be tasked with maintaining stringent food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance standards, preparing the venue for inspections and audits at all times. Financial stewardship is also a key aspect of this role, where you will manage labor costs, control expenses, and monitor sales performance and forecasts to achieve the desired financial outcomes. Your role will involve overseeing cash handling, point-of-sale processes, inventory management, and merchandising strategies to ensure smooth, efficient operations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • At least one year of management experience in retail or high-volume foodservice operations
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to motivate and lead teams effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards preferably ServSafe certification
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent customer service orientation and a positive professional attitude

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of management experience in retail or high-volume foodservice operations
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills with ability to motivate teams and lead from the floor
  • Working knowledge of food safety sanitation and operational compliance standards with ServSafe strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A customer-focused mindset positive attitude and commitment to hospitality teamwork and continuous improvement
