The store located in Omaha-Central, NE is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their retail team and contribute to maintaining their high standards of store recovery, merchandise presentation, and operational excellence.

This role is full-time or part-time and offers a competitive salary aligned with industry standards. The Store Team Member is a key position responsible for multiple store functions including customer service, product location assistance, cash handling, truck unloading, stocking, and maintaining store presentation. A significant part of the role is to engage customers by promoting Michaels' Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, enrolling new members, and educating customers about the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey to enhance the shopping experience.

In addition to traditional retail duties, the Store Team Member supports Omni channel processes like Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS), ensuring seamless integration of online and in-store services. This cross-functional role requires participating in truck unloads, merchandising with planograms, maintaining stock levels, and managing product returns and store recovery tasks. The position also involves undertaking Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned to improve inventory availability.

The store environment is a public retail setting with climate control in public areas and some exposure to outside weather conditions during tasks like retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. Work hours are flexible and may include nights, weekends, and early mornings to support peak store operations.

Job Duties

  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
  • Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Execute cash handling to standards
  • Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
  • Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
  • Participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return / go back process and general store recovery
  • Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner
  • Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Other duties as assigned
