Job Requirements
- Four plus years retail management experience with progressively more responsibility
- Experience managing multi-unit operations with full profit and loss responsibility
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Current driver's license and acceptable driving history
- Ability to travel weekly with limited overnight stays
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments

- Financial analysis skills for interpreting reports and managing budgets
- Ability to produce results by leveraging resources and expense control

- Four plus years retail management experience with increasing responsibility
- Experience managing multi-unit retail or grocery stores with full P and L responsibility
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Equivalent education and experience in big-box retail considered
Job Duties
- Plan and lead activities of all stores within assigned area
- Hold full profit and loss responsibility
- Ensure a culture fostering Dollar General's mission and values
- Administer human resources policies and practices fairly
- Deliver superior customer service through fun and friendly stores
- Achieve area annual sales growth meeting or exceeding company targets
- Utilize all tools effectively for inventory presentation and management
- Execute company objectives efficiently
- Maximize performance and productivity through sensible store scheduling
- Develop human capital via recruitment, selection, and education
- Protect company assets through loss prevention and expense control
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Communicate divisional and regional priorities effectively
