Job Requirements

  • Minimum of associate degree or 3 years experience in food service management in a hospital or hotel setting
  • Able to function well in a fast paced environment, good multitasking abilities with attention to detail
  • Proficient with computer operations, excellent financial, budgetary and accounting skills
  • Experienced in client relationship management, able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping and bending and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in food service management in hospital or hotel setting
  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills
  • Proficient in financial management and budgeting
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to develop and train staff
  • Competent in technical food service systems
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications
  • Oversee daily purchasing and maintenance of food preparation system and inventory
  • Plan all aspects of food preparation including purchasing and receiving food items
  • Ensure food is displayed attractively and teach merchandising techniques
  • Plan and prepare menus for special events as requested
  • Follow food safety procedures and comply with health and sanitation regulations
  • Create effective work plans and schedules, and complete all required reports timely
  • Focus on workplace safety and respond to employee accidents
  • Maintain employee records accurately and timely
  • Manage financial aspects including accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling and auditing standards
  • Provide technical training to staff
  • Promote positive work environment and fair scheduling
  • Follow company training programs and develop team
  • Coach and delegate tasks effectively
  • Provide courteous, nutritional food service and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Communicate effectively and professionally, motivating team
  • Support marketing and food promotions aligned with company mission
