Job Requirements
- Minimum of associate degree or 3 years experience in food service management in a hospital or hotel setting
- Able to function well in a fast paced environment
- Good multitasking abilities with attention to detail
- Proficient with computer operations
- Excellent financial, budgetary and accounting skills
- Experienced in client relationship management
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels
- Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously
- Frequent stooping and bending
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions

Job Duties
- Ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications
- Ensure utilization of all company recipes and procedures 100 percent of the time
- Oversee daily purchasing, maintenance of food preparation system, order books, recipe books, inventory and storerooms
- Keep records of preparation costs and inventory
- Ensure proper food handling, storage and safety procedures are followed
- Effectively plan all aspects of food preparation including purchasing, receiving and storing of food items
- Supervise the production of all special diets and minimize waste
- Ensure food is displayed in an appealing manner and teach merchandising techniques to others
- Plan and prepare menus for special events and direct preparation of catered food
- Follow food safety procedures and ensure staff adherence to hygiene, time and temperature standards
- Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
- Participate in emergency preparedness and OSHA programs
- Create work plans and schedules to complete responsibilities timely
- Complete reports on time
- Focus on workplace safety and respond to concerns and accidents promptly
- Ensure employee records are accurate and timely
- Manage financial aspects including accounts payable and receivable
