Job Requirements
- Minimum of associate degree or 3 years experience in food service management in a hospital or hotel setting
- Able to function well in a fast paced environment
- good multitasking abilities with attention to detail
- Proficient with computer operations
- excellent financial, budgetary and accounting skills
- Experienced in client relationship management
- able to communicate effectively at all levels
- Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously
- frequent stooping and bending and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of associate degree or equivalent experience in food service management
- At least 3 years experience in food service management in a hospital or hotel setting
- Proficiency with computer operations and financial management
- Excellent budgetary and accounting skills
- Experience in client relationship management
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Ability to train and develop staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Familiarity with workplace safety standards

Job Duties
- Ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications
- Ensure utilization of all company recipes and procedures 100% of the time
- Oversee daily purchasing, maintenance of the food preparation system, order books, recipe books, inventory and storerooms
- Plan all aspects of food preparation including purchasing, receiving and storing of food items
- Supervise the production of all special diets and minimize waste
- Ensure food is displayed appealingly and teach merchandising techniques
- Plan and prepare menus for special events and direct catered food preparation
- Follow food safety procedures and instruct others accordingly
- Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
- Adhere to Facility’s Emergency Preparedness Program and OSHA policies
- Create effective work plans and schedules
- Complete all required reports timely
- Focus on workplace safety and respond to safety concerns
- Ensure employee records are accurate and timely
- Manage financial aspects including accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain auditing standards and cash handling compliance
- Promote positive work environment, staffing and retention
- Commit to training, development, coaching and delegation
- Provide nutritional food and courteous guest/patient service
