This job opening is for the position of cashiers and customer service representatives at Summit Racing Equipment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two to three years' recent experience as a cashier or in customer service or equivalent cash management experience
  • Ability to work full-time with a flexible schedule including evenings, Fridays, and at least one weekend day
  • Comfortable talking with customers
  • Previous retail or cash drawer experience

Job Duties

  • Processes returns and completes paperwork for warranty returns when a return specialist is not available
  • Ensures retail location is clear of missing parts
  • Stocks shelves and counters with merchandise
  • Assists in setting up advertising displays or arranging merchandise on counters to promote sales
  • Stamps, marks, or tags price on merchandise
  • Obtains merchandise requested by customer and places merchandise in a bag or box
  • Assists customers in carrying larger items to their vehicle
  • Answers customers' questions and offers assistance or direction
  • Greets customers when they enter the store and checks packages and receipts when exiting the store
  • Understands, applies, and follows performance standards as written
  • Contributes to a positive workplace environment
