This position is for a Store Consultant, a critical role within the FedEx Office retail environment. The Store Consultant serves as the primary point of contact for customers, delivering a positive and consultative customer experience by anticipating customer needs and offering tailored solutions. This role requires in-depth knowledge of FedEx Office products and services, including printing, signs and graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities extend beyond customer interaction to include order taking, store coordination, equipment operation, and inventory management.
A successful Store Consultant will demonstrate excellence in customer service by using strong consultative skills to assess customer needs accurately, recommend alternatives, resolve issues quickly, and ensure customer satisfaction. The role also involves handling complex orders, managing production queues, stocking retail supplies, and performing physical tasks such as moving equipment and boxes. Attention to detail and adherence to company policies, including confidentiality and safety standards, are essential.

Job Duties
- follow instructions of supervisors and assist other team members in performing store functions
- assist in the training of store team members
- demonstrate consultative behaviors in a retail environment to understand each customer’s individualized need
- provide customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics and shipping product lines and recommend appropriate FedEx Office products and services
- provide an outstanding customer service experience by using consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions to meet customer needs
- ensure all customer problems are resolved quickly and to customer satisfaction
- take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information
- assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping items in insulation, inserting items into shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels to parcels
- set up and operate printing, binding, and other related equipment using customer supplied original media and documents
- maintain a safe, clean and orderly retail store
- ensure confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents, media, and packages
- process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal including handling cash and making change
- clean, repair, and stock all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to provide optimal performance and availability
- stay current on retail store merchandising materials and ensure proper display of all retail area product and signage
- take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste
- complete required financial paperwork and may assist with financial reporting including daily sales, close-outs and bank deposits
- follow FedEx Office standard operating procedures and adhere to legal, HR, safety, customer service and security policies and procedures
- perform multiple tasks at the same time
- look for opportunities to improve knowledge and skills within the retail store
- operate with minimal supervision
- adhere to all FedEx Office team member and retail store standards
- perform all other duties as needed or required
