Job Description
FedEx Office is a well-established retail and shipping service provider known for delivering comprehensive solutions that include printing, signs and graphics, and shipping services tailored to meet the needs of a broad customer base ranging from individual consumers to businesses. As a part of FedEx Corporation, the company emphasizes customer experience, operational efficiency, and quality-driven management to ensure market-leading excellence. FedEx Office operates a network of retail stores equipped with state-of-the-art technology, aiming to provide outstanding service and products that facilitate the needs of customers in a fast-paced environment.
The role of the Store Consultant at FedEx Office is crucial in maintaining the company’s commitment to superior customer service and operational excellence. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic retail environment and enjoy engaging with customers directly. The Store Consultant is responsible for multiple facets of store operations, including greeting customers, assessing their needs through consultative skills, suggesting appropriate products and services, and managing complex orders with precision. The Consultant also handles a variety of equipment related to printing and shipping tasks and ensures the retail space is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Serving as the face of FedEx Office to customers, the Store Consultant must be knowledgeable not only about the company's product lines but also about the practical aspects of running a retail store that handles both walk-in traffic and scheduled orders. The position requires the ability to work with various equipment used in printing, binding, and shipping, and the consultant must have the capability to move items and manage production queues effectively. This role is well-suited to individuals who have a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask under pressure.
In addition to customer interaction and order management, the Store Consultant plays an active role in training team members and assisting supervisors to ensure smooth store operations. This includes overseeing product displays, maintaining store security and safety policies, and handling cash transactions through point-of-sale (POS) systems. The Store Consultant contributes to profitability by minimizing waste, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and adhering to established procedures and quality standards.
FedEx Office values employees who demonstrate self-management capabilities, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and a genuine desire to improve their knowledge and skills within the retail environment. The physical demands of the job include standing for long periods, lifting weights of up to 55 pounds, and occasionally bending or twisting during store operations. This full-time position offers an engaging opportunity to join a company that prioritizes a positive and inclusive workplace culture while enhancing customer satisfaction through expert service and product solutions.
