Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- six or more months of specialized experience
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to stand for entire shift excluding meal and rest periods
- ability to move and lift up to 55 pounds
- ability to bend and twist at waist and knees consistently
- ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members
- ability to perform cooperative work activities
- ability to function under substantial pressure in a fast-paced environment
- ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- minimum six months of specialized retail or customer service experience
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to operate printing and shipping equipment
- strong consultative and problem-solving skills
- ability to handle complex customer orders accurately
- proficient in using point-of-sale systems
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- basic understanding of retail merchandising principles
Job Duties
- Follow instructions of supervisors and assist other team members in performing store functions
- assist in the training of store team members
- demonstrate consultative behaviors in a retail environment to understand each customer’s individualized need
- provide customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics and shipping product lines and recommend appropriate FedEx Office products and services
- provide an outstanding customer service experience by anticipating customer needs, suggesting alternatives, and finding solutions to meet customer needs
- ensure all customer problems are resolved quickly and to customer satisfaction
- take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information
- assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping
- set up and operate printing, binding, and related equipment
- maintain a safe, clean and orderly retail store
- ensure confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents and packages
- process financial transactions including cash handling and POS terminal use
- clean, repair, and stock all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies
- stay current on merchandising materials and ensure proper display of product and signage
- take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste
- complete required financial paperwork and assist with financial reporting
- follow FedEx Office operating procedures and adhere to legal, HR, safety, customer service and security policies
- perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- seek opportunities to improve knowledge and skills within the retail store
- operate with minimal supervision
- adhere to all FedEx Office team member and retail store standards
- perform all other duties as needed or required
