Job Description

FedEx Office is a leading provider of print, signs, graphics, and shipping solutions, dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences and innovative services. As part of the global FedEx family, FedEx Office combines the strength and reliability of a world-class logistics brand with a deep commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The company operates retail stores across numerous locations, catering to both individual customers and businesses with an array of products and professional services designed to meet diverse needs. FedEx Office invests heavily in technology and human resources to streamline operations, enhance service delivery, and maintain their reputation as a trusted partner for print and shipping needs.

The role of a Store Consultant at FedEx Office is integral to the success and smooth operation of each retail location. This position focuses on consistently providing a positive customer experience through consultative selling and expert knowledge across the store's print, signs & graphics, and shipping product lines. As a key member of the retail team, the Store Consultant not only takes orders but also coordinates daily store activities, ensures accurate pricing, manages production queues, stocks materials, and operates a wide range of equipment. This role requires balancing multiple responsibilities, including managing complex projects and retail supplies, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and upholding FedEx Office’s high standards for customer service and operational efficiency.

Store Consultants demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand and anticipate customer needs, proposing tailored solutions and appropriate FedEx Office products and services. They engage with customers by providing expert guidance on printing, binding, shipping, and signage, ensuring each interaction is personalized and solution-oriented. The position demands excellent communication skills to resolve any customer issues promptly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

In addition to customer-facing duties, the Store Consultant is responsible for handling financial transactions using a Point of Sale (POS) system, managing confidential customer data carefully, and completing associated paperwork, including sales reporting and bank deposits. The role encompasses hands-on operational tasks such as assembling parcels, preparing goods for shipment, maintaining equipment, and optimizing workflow to prevent errors and waste. Store Consultants must operate independently with minimal supervision, multitask effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.

FedEx Office values continuous improvement and quality management; Store Consultants are encouraged to seek opportunities for skill enhancement and contribute ideas for process improvements. The company offers competitive compensation, typically between $18.35 to $21.57 per hour, along with benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement. This employment opportunity is suitable for those who seek a dynamic, customer-focused role within a reputable company committed to equality, diversity, and workplace accommodations.
