Job Description
Intuit is a leading financial software company renowned for its innovative solutions such as TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Mint. With a strong commitment to empowering consumers and small businesses to manage their finances expertly, Intuit combines cutting-edge technology with a relentless focus on customer-centric experiences. As a pioneer in the software industry, Intuit fosters a culture that emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement. The company provides exceptional benefits and opportunities designed to support employees’ personal and professional growth while delivering outstanding service to customers across North America.
The TurboTax Customer Advisor role is a unique position centered around hospitality and customer experience rather than traditional tax preparation duties. This in-person role is designed for professionals who thrive on making individuals feel genuinely welcomed, listened to, and supported throughout their interactions. The Customer Advisor acts as a knowledgeable guide and dependable host, helping customers navigate the complex landscape of tax services by connecting them with the right experts or services within the TurboTax network. The primary goal is to create a high-touch, thoughtful service experience where every customer feels reassured and confident they are in capable hands.
As a year-round, non-exempt position, the role requires flexibility, empathy, and proactive communication skills. Customer Advisors warmly greet every visitor, actively listen to understand their specific concerns and situations, and then guide them through their options with clear, helpful information. They accompany customers from the moment they arrive until a seamless hand-off to a specialist takes place, ensuring all touchpoints are personal and frictionless. Advisors also follow up diligently to resolve any outstanding questions, thus maintaining a strong lasting impression of care and support.
This position embodies the hospitality spirit within a retail environment, blending customer service with brand representation. Advisors serve as the face of Intuit TurboTax in retail locations, championing the brand’s commitment to premium hospitality and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through active feedback. The role offers seasonal contract opportunities as well as ongoing year-round employment, with competitive pay varying by location and excellent benefits including health, dental, vision coverage, generous paid time off, and company-sponsored plans like the 401(k) and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
