The role in question is that of a Food Production Worker, who will perform a variety of food production duties primarily under general supervision. This position is essential to the hospital's food service operations, ensuring that nutritious and safe meals are prepared and served in various venues including catering, retail outlets, and patient care settings. The Food Production Worker prepares and cooks food prior to meal service times, follows recipes and instructions with precision, and helps maintain a clean and organized working environment. This role requires working rotating shifts including Sundays, Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays with variable shift assignments generally from early morning until mid-afternoon.

Key responsibilities include preparing bulk food items and specialty meals, maintaining proper food rotation to ensure freshness, interacting with customers, and using various kitchen and cleaning equipment. Candidates must hold a Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification by their first day and ideally have some food service experience, though it is not mandatory. The position demands physical dexterity and stamina, as employees will need to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and work in environments with temperature extremes and cleaning chemicals. Job Qualifications
