The role of Cashier at Love's Travel Stops is vital within the fast-paced retail environment, where team members maintain clean and welcoming spaces while delivering fast, friendly, and accurate service to customers. Cashiers at Love's are responsible for general customer service duties, such as helping customers find items, answering product and service questions, and addressing various customer needs. A large part of the role involves managing transactions at the cash register, balancing the register, and offering additional sales opportunities to customers—all while complying with applicable state and local laws.

Cashiers also play a key role in maintaining food safety conditions. They use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper handling and storage of fresh food and deli products. Keeping the store clean is another important responsibility, including cleaning the cashier's direct work area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, and gas or diesel pumps, as well as taking out trash. The role requires physical capabilities such as the ability to move and lift over 25 pounds and to work in varying temperatures.

Flexibility and teamwork are essential in this role because additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and even leadership roles.
