The purpose of this role is to ensure customers have a quick, efficient, and enjoyable shopping experience while maintaining the store’s clean and organized appearance. Team members will actively assist customers, operate point-of-sale systems, support fitting room functions, manage stockrooms, and handle merchandise ranging from small accessories to bulky, heavy items. Emphasis is placed on excellent communication skills, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a bustling environment.
The role includes specific responsibilities depending on the department. Sales and customer service staff focus on keeping the sales floor attractive and well-stocked, assisting customers at checkout, and promoting initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program. Stock support and fulfillment team members ensure that merchandise is received, organized, processed, and shipped promptly and correctly to maintain inventory control and enhance customer satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, strong interpersonal and communication skills, previous retail or customer service experience preferred, ability to operate point-of-sale systems, attention to detail, flexibility to work in various departments, ability to lift items up to 50 pounds for stock and fulfillment roles
Job Duties
- Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready, assist customers when cashiering with various transactions, create a smooth fitting room experience, keep the store clean and clutter free by sorting and returning merchandise, keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is ticketed accurately, demonstrate expertise in store technologies, adhere to operational and asset protection standards
