Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to operate point of sale (POS) systems and other retail technology
  • Physical ability to lift and carry merchandise frequently
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer resolution abilities

Job Duties

  • Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers and taking them to their fitting rooms then sorting and returning clothing to the floor
  • Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as Nordstrom Rewards program
  • Keep stockrooms organized and complete all inventory processes making sure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
  • Work with the team to ensure the sales floor stays runway ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
  • Assist customers with a variety of transactions through a seamless and friendly experience
  • Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
  • Defuse customer situations and provide resolutions in a timely and effective manner
  • Receive unload freight unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
  • Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
  • Prepare and ship customer’s orders following quality packing and shipping standards
  • Utilize inventory management systems to scan process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes
  • Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
  • Provide general support to the store such as setting up special events organizing backroom markdowns and relocating store fixtures
