At IKEA, the work environment is inclusive and accepting, recognizing that greatness comes from thinking differently and working together towards shared goals. The company values individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the world, who appreciate diversity, and who seek to create meaningful experiences for customers.
This role offers a permanent employment opportunity with part-time hours ranging from 12 to 20 hours per week. The position features a competitive pay rate of $18.50 per hour and requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability during evenings and weekends. Work schedules are communicated at least one month in advance to support work-life balance.
The position focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience by providing efficient and accurate checkout services at various points within the store. Responsibilities include building customer loyalty by ensuring a seamless final interaction during the IKEA shopping journey and offering additional products and services such as home delivery, credit cards, and the IKEA Family card. The role emphasizes attentive customer service where associates resolve concerns independently, tailoring solutions to meet each customer’s unique needs and expectations.
Beyond the cashier responsibilities, this position also involves providing friendly, safe, and efficient customer car loading and unloading services, reinforcing IKEA’s commitment to convenience and care. The candidate will work closely with a diverse and collaborative team that prioritizes risk management, data protection, compliance, business operations, and health and safety to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for co-workers, customers, and visitors alike.
