With a wide range of products and services including custom framing through its Artistree manufacturing brand, Michaels is recognized as the go-to destination for all things creative.
At our Georgetown, TX store, we are seeking passionate and customer-focused Retail Team Members to join us. This role is integral to delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that shoppers have a seamless and enjoyable experience from entry through checkout. The Retail Team Member will engage customers by assisting them in locating products, providing solutions, and educating them about our Rewards program and private label credit cards. The position also encompasses various merchandising duties such as unloading trucks, stocking shelves, maintaining store recovery standards, and participating in inventory processes like planograms and Store In Stock Optimization. Additionally, team members will support omnichannel initiatives including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS), ensuring a smooth integration of our digital and physical shopping experiences.
The role requires a high level of attention to detail and adherence to company standards and policies, including safety and shrink programs. Team members will act as brand ambassadors by reflecting the company’s vision and values, maintaining a positive and respectful demeanor even in challenging situations, and serving as role models for colleagues. Cross-training in custom framing selling and production is also provided, allowing for a diverse and engaging work experience.
This part-time and full-time position offers flexible working hours that include nights, weekends, and early mornings, with the work environment featuring both climate-controlled customer areas and stock rooms, some of which may not be climate controlled. Physical demands such as standing for long periods, lifting heavy boxes, and reaching high shelves are part of the day-to-day activities. Michaels is committed to accessibility and provides reasonable accommodations to ensure all team members can perform their essential job functions.
At Michaels, we prioritize our team member’s wellbeing by offering robust benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), paid time off, tuition assistance, and generous employee discounts.
