The Store position at Michaels, located at DEN-Colorado Blvd, CO, involves direct interaction with customers to deliver friendly and knowledgeable service. This role is centered around assisting customers in finding products, providing solutions, and ensuring a positive and efficient checkout experience. In addition to customer engagement, the position requires active involvement in store upkeep, including unloading trucks, product stocking, and maintaining store recovery standards. The role also includes handling cash transactions, participating in promotional programs such as the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments, and supporting omnichannel sales initiatives like Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).

The Store Associate will play a vital role in maintaining the overall merchandising and inventory standards through tasks like performing Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and executing planograms (POGs). This position requires teamwork, adherence to safety and shrink programs, and consistent implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and uphold company standards. Team members are expected to contribute positively to a respectful and inclusive work environment while serving as role models within the store.

This position is a part-time role, designed to fit within the dynamic retail schedule that includes nights, weekends, and early mornings. The physical demands are significant, involving long periods of standing, lifting, carrying, and ladder use, reflecting the hands-on nature of retail and inventory management at Michaels. Team members should be prepared to work in a public retail setting that includes climate-controlled customer areas and some non-climate-controlled stockrooms.

The compensation range for this role is between $19.29 and $22.60 per hour, with potential eligibility for overtime compensation according to local regulations.
