The role of Cashier at DICK'S Sporting Goods is a critical front-line position focused on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience. Cashiers are entrusted with greeting customers warmly, proactively identifying their needs, and using in-depth product knowledge to support their purchase decisions. Job Requirements

  • Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Basic math and cash handling skills
  • Ability to follow established procedures and protocols
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment

Job Qualifications

  • Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience
  • Process customer sales transactions and returns in accordance with established Front-End procedures
  • Promote company programs i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company information
  • Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect
  • Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
